I can only give Magnus and Odd Grooves my best recommendations. (maybe even more important, working with odd measures) I can only say that Magnus is the grooving kind, playing with great sense of feeling. The very few parts where I had a little different ideas from what Magnus came up with, was met with creativity and analytical skills, and in all aspects, It ended with tracks I was fully pleased with.įirst and most important – the difference between a grooving and non grooving drummer is essential. The communication was smooth, respectful and constructive.
It made a great difference for the end result.

As composer and producer you do not necessarily know how to get your hands on a set of great sounding drums, a great sounding room to record in, great sounding mics to record through…or for that sake the skills to set it all up for a perfect recording. Working with Magnus on our cd project, Shakespeare´s Sonnets, was an ease and a very good solution and experience.
